They have specialized on exploiting asteroids with small unmanned mining drones. Since it is a smaller company, it is always dependent on a group of fighting ships. These defend the mining drones in case of an attack by pirates or other villains. The company has a large mother ship where the drones bring the ore. 
+The FMC is a small company, which is specialized on exploiting asteroids with small unmanned mining drones. Those drones gather valuable minerals and metals all over the solar system. The drones bring their cargo to larger maned ships which distribute and roughly direct the drones. Those ships rely on fighting ships to defend them while operating in dangerous parts of the solar system. Often however the company operates at deserted parts of space.
