About me

I am Sandro Merkli, a student at ETH Zurich. My hobbies are snowboarding, surfing, dancing, computers, programming, Linux and enjoying music. I'm in the fifth semester in the bachelor program of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, with the focus on micro- and optoelectronics.

Orxonox

My involvement with Orxonox started with the PPS and it was a lot of fun, so I decided it was a great idea to continue working on the project. I like computer games and always wanted to work on one, so Orxonox came as a great opportunity to me. In the first time I took the PPS, I worked on the chat system, adding a convenient interface to chat in-game. The second time around, I started implementing a master server so we could use the game online over the world wide web. Now I'm an assistant for the second time.
